Among the other participants were Houston lawyer and political neophyte Jason Gibson, running as a Democrat; Lela Pittenger, a Republican and the only woman at the forum; and Glenn Addison, a Magnolia funeral home and cemetery owner who likes to say he’s the only candidate who has never had a dissatisfied customer.
Addison, an earnest and articulate tea party favorite, pledged to serve only one term and to refuse to take advantage of the congressional retirement and health care plans.
